Let's Make 2026 a "Mathemagical" Year!

    A Message from Our Founder

    The Queen Mather

Deborah Peart Crayton, nicknamed the Queen Mather because of her passion for making mathematics accessible for all, strives to build a community of competent and confident Readers, Writers, and Mathers.

As we enter 2026, I want to welcome you to a brand new year filled with possibility, curiosity, and—of course—plenty of mathing.

Mathematics is often labeled as a set of rules or a list of problems to solve, but this year, I want us to see it for what it truly is: a creative playground. Math is the language of patterns, the engine behind innovation, and the secret structure that makes our world work. Whether we’re exploring the elegance of geometry, the power of algebra, or the complexity of fractions, we’re really learning how to think deeply, question boldly, and solve problems with confidence.

This year, I hope we continue to nurture curiosity over correctness, exploration over speed, and confidence over perfection. Let’s celebrate the brave thinkers, the persistent problem‑solvers, and the students who light up when they finally see how concepts connect. Let’s keep math joyful, hands‑on, and full of wonder—because when students feel safe to explore, they grow in ways that surprise us all.

Thank you for bringing your energy, your patience, and your willingness to turn everyday moments into mathematical adventures. Thank you for modeling a growth mindset, for cheering on small victories, and for showing students that math isn’t something to fear—it’s something to play with, question, and enjoy.

    Let’s make 2026 a year of pattern‑seeking, shape‑building, number‑talking, joyful learning, and mathematical magic.

    Happy New Year!
